You Are Only Dead Twice

December 20, 2012

You Are Only Dead Twice.

The way I see it, there’s the first 14 billion years or so. During this time you are dead and nothing happens – nothing to worry about. Then there is this minute flicker of existence – almost too small to register on the universal scale (although, thankfully, the universal scale does recognise very small things). This is where life begins and the trouble starts. But not for long.

Then you are dead again forever – or maybe a few billion years until the sequence begins again – or someone works out how to re run the whole system (hopefully with substantial improvements!). Don’t worry though – you won’t get bored. They’ll be a loss of consciousness and the next thing you’ll know is (if you ever know, or feel anything again), you’re millions of years in the future.
